PAUILLAC, France (AP) -- Alberto Contador is set to win his third Tour de France title in four years after retaining the yellow jersey in today's next-to-last stage.
Fabian Cancellara won the 32-mile time trial, but the 27-year-old Contador extended his narrow lead over Luxembourg's Andy Schleck, who is set to finish second to the Spaniard for a second straight year.
Barring an unforeseen catastrophe, Contador is all but certain to win the race in the 20th and final stage Sunday.
