| Blackhawks Deal Ladd to Thrashers |
CHICAGO (AP) -- The Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks have made another trade, sending forward Andrew Ladd to the Atlanta Thrashers.
The deal comes a day after the Blackhawks dealt forward Kris Versteeg to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a salary cap move. Last week, Chicago sent playoff star Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel and Ben Eager to Atlanta and shipped Colin Fraser to Edmonton.
For Ladd, who was a restricted free agent, the Blackhawks acquired defenseman Ivan Vishnevskiy, the 27th overall selection in the 2006 draft and a second round pick in 2011. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
