| Bennewitz Returns to Mic for WGIL |
FIRST REPORTED 6:22am 7/8/10 Longtime former WGIL Sports Director/News Anchor Brad Bennewitz will return to the mic for Galesburg Radio 14. Bennewitz has agreed to provide play-by-play for Galesburg Silver Streaks Football and Boys Basketball games this fall, the station announced Wednesday morning. Bennewitz left WGIL full-time in 2006 to become an English teacher at Galesburg High School, where he will also remain. Bennewitz replaces Mike Perry on play-by-play, who recently left the station to become Sports Information Director at Knox College. TUNE IN TO AM 1400 WGIL FOR MORE DETAILS.
