| Cardinals RHP Lohse Having Finger Examined |
NEW YORK (AP) -- Cardinals right-hander Kyle Lohse has inflammation in the middle finger on his pitching hand and was sent back to St. Louis to have it examined.
Manager Tony La Russa said after the Cardinals' 6-2 victory against the Mets that he was still planning to have Lohse start Sunday at Pittsburgh.
Lohse is 8-7 with a 3.45 ERA this season in 19 starts, but is 0-3 with a 7.64 ERA in July.
