| Post 285 Wins Two to Advance |
The Galesburg Post-285 Legion baseball team won two games Thursday to advance to the championship round of the District 15 Tournament.
They avenged a loss from earlier this week to Farmington, as they picked up a 12-2 win in the District 15 Tournament in their first game Thursday.
Post-285 moved on to play Canton for the right to move to the championship round against Oneida on Friday. Galesburg trailed Canton 4-0 in the 2nd inning but fought their way back for a 10-4 win.
Post-285 will play Oneida in the championship round of the double elimination tournament at 3:30 Friday afternoon at Jim Sundberg Field. Oneida is unbeaten in the tourney, so Galesburg would have to win twice to win the tournament. |
