| Rasmus Out With Calf Injury |
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis Cardinals center fielder Colby Rasmus thinks he'll miss at least a handful of games with a strained right calf, an injury that progressed from a bruise after he fouled off a pitch last weekend.
Jon Jay moved from right field to center Tuesday night against Milwaukee, with fellow rookie Allen Craig starting in right. Rasmus said he didn't think he'd be available to pinch hit.
Rasmus was batting .270 with 19 homers and 54 RBIs. The foul ball left a bruise on the side of his calf, and he strained the muscle on the basepaths. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
