| Threets Placed on DL; White Sox Recall Pitcher |
DETROIT (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox placed pitcher Erick Threets on the 15-day disabled list with turf toe in his left big toe and recalled Carlos Torres from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
Torres was scheduled to start the second game of Tuesday's day-night doubleheader with the Detroit Tigers. He has a 7-7 record with a 3.41 ERA at Charlotte.
Threets hasn't allowed an earned run in nine appearances, which includes 9 1/3 innings.
