| Female Head Football Coach Ready for 1st Practice |
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The woman thought to be the only female head coach of a varsity high school football team is ready for her first practice.
Natalie Randolph spent Thursday at Washington Redskins training camp, getting some final pointers as she prepares to start workouts Friday at Coolidge Senior High School in Washington, D.C.
Randolph says she's got a good grasp on the football and discipline side of things, but she's still trying to learn how to deal with all the attention she's received since Coolidge hired her in March.
Randolph has already started to get tough with her players. She's had to punish some of them for breaking rules at a team building camp last weekend. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
