GOLF
It's a busy day on the links Monday afternoon as many of the area high school golf teams are in action. Here in Galesburg, the Silver Streaks girls are playing host to Rock Island. The Streaks are coming off of a second-place finish at the Rock Falls Invitational over the weekend.
The Galesburg boys are at Rock Island Alleman Monday afternoon.
At Laurel Greens, the Knoxville boys are playing Mid-County. And at Oak Run, there's a boy's dual between Williamsfield and Bureau Valley.
VOLLEYBALL
The last of the fall season "Meet the Streaks" events will be held Monday night, as the GHS Volleyball teams will have their preseason scrimmage at John Thiel Gymnasium. Admission is a six pack of sports drink or water.
LEGION BASEBALL
Moline's bid to win the American Legion baseball world series ended in North Carolina on Saturday when they were knocked out by a team from Florence, South Carolina 10-8. Moline, which won the Great Lakes Regional last week, finished with a record of 48-9. |
