Peavy to Start for ChiSox on Saturday
SEATTLE (AP) -- Jake Peavy is set to make his first start for the Chicago White Sox.

The team announced Tuesday that the former Cy Young winner will start on Saturday at home against the Kansas City Royals. It will be Peavy's first start for the White Sox since they acquired the right-hander from the San Diego Padres at the trading deadline, a deal that cost them four minor leaguers.

Peavy has not pitched since injuring his right ankle in June. Peavy was hurt during a minor-league rehab assignment when he was hit on the elbow with a batted ball, delaying his White Sox debut.

In four starts with Triple-A Charlotte, Peavy was 1-1 with a 2.93 ERA.
