|White Sox Rally in 9th to Beat Minnesota
|MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Joe Nathan gave up back-to-back home runs to Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko with two outs in the ninth inning, and the Chicago White Sox got to Minnesota's four-time All-Star closer to win 4-2 Wednesday afternoon.
Nathan's fifth blown save this season in 40 chances ruined rookie Brian Duensing's seven shutout innings. In their final game at the Metrodome, the White Sox woke up and rallied for just their second victory in 10 games on a previously miserable road trip.
Nathan (2-2) followed the homers by walking Jermaine Dye and Carlos Quentin before manager Ron Gardenhire made the rare move to relieve him, for Matt Guerrier. Pinch-runner Dewayne Wise scored on Alexei Ramirez's single to give Chicago the lead before Quentin came home on a wild pitch.
