Peavy Still Not Ready to Pitch for ChiSox
CHICAGO (AP) -- Jake Peavy is frustrated that he can't seem to get healthy enough to pitch for the Chicago White Sox.

The right-hander was acquired from San Diego at the July 31st trade deadline. He has been on the disabled list since June 13th with a strained tendon in his right ankle and was struck on his pitching elbow during a minor league rehab assignment, leading to more problems.

Peavy says he wants to help the team and hopes to play catch Friday to see how he's feeling.

The 2007 NL Cy Young Award winner has made four rehab starts with Triple-A Charlotte, going 1-1 with a 2.93 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 15 1-3 innings.

Peavy made his remarks before the White Sox played the Cubs in a makeup game on Thursday.
