High School Volleyball
Galesburg lost its season opener at Dunlap. The Eagles defeated the Silver Streaks in two games (25-21, 25-20). Sara Baker had 8 kills and Mickey Rodriguez had 9 assists for Galesburg (0-1). The GHS junior varsity squad lost to Dunlap in three games (10-25, 25-23, 2-15). The Dunlap freshman team completed the sweep, beating Galesburg in two games (23-25, 18-25).

High School Boys Golf
West Central won a triangular meet with Knoxville and North Fulton at Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills in Cuba. The Heat shot 160, Knoxville (2-3) 171 and North Fulton 220. Taylor Smith of West Central carded a 35 to earn medalist honors. Logan Goff shot a 1-over 37 to pace the Blue Bullets. Aaron Grove shot a team-low 43 for North Fulton.

Ridgewood defeated Orion by 7 shots (178-185)
Rock Falls won a triangular against Annawan-Wethersfield at Kewanee at Kewanee Dunes. The Rockets shot 180, A-W 183 and Kewanee 185.
High School Girls Golf
Galesburg beat Western Big Six Conference rival Quincy by two shots at Westview. The Streaks shot 179 as a team, led by Katarina Mangieri's 40.
Galesburg is now 4-0 in duals this season. Quincy falls to 3-2.
Cross Country
Knoxville's boys team won the 8-team Rocket Booster Invite at Rockridge. The Bullets' Brett Curry set a new meet record that stood for six years in leading his team to a relatively easy victory. Several other KHS runners finished in the top 13. Mid-County finished fourth in the invite.

Knoxville's girls cross country team finished third at the Rocket Booster Invite. Rockridge was the winner and Orion was second. Mid-County finished fifth.

Girls Tennis
Galesburg lost at Dunlap 7-2. Dunlap also defeated the Streaks J-V team 5-4.
Local College Sports
The Knox College volleyball team split a pair of matches at Eureka. The Fire lost to Rose Hulman in three games and beat Eureka in five.
