A large Van Dyke Field crowd got to see plenty of offense Friday night as Peoria Richwoods edged GHS' varsity football team 34-31.

The Streaks (1-1) led battled throughout the contest, but failed on several PAT conversion attempts to fall just short.

Richwoods quarterback Mike Davis had a big night, running for two touchdowns and passing for three. GHS' Andrew Steck ran for two scores and passed for another. Four different players scored TD's for the Streaks in the non-conference battle.

GHS' sophomore football team scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to down Peoria Richwoods 49-22.
With the big win, the young Streaks moved to 2-0 on the season.
