MACOMB, Ill. (AP) -- Matt Barr threw for three touchdowns and 221 yards and Western Illinois beat Sam Houston State 56-14 Saturday.
Barr also rushed 69 yards to score for the Leathernecks (2-1).
Western Illinois had 542 total offense yards to Sam Houston's (0-2) 363 yards.
Barr threw a 43-yard TD pass to Terriun Crump. He also connected with Lito Senatus and Justin Morgan to score.
Aaron Muhammad caught a TD pass from sophomore Wil Lunt, and Todd Speight rushed 24 yards to score. Bryce Flowers and Caulton Ray each rushed for a TD.
