CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- NASCAR has docked driver Clint BowyeR 150 points, severely crippling his championship chances.
Stock car racing's governing body took action after Bowyer's car failed a follow up inspection after crossing the finish line first in last weekend's opening race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Bowyer keeps Sunday's victory at New Hampshire but falls back from second to 12th in the standings.
