| French Anti-doping Boss Pierre Bordry Resigns |
PARIS (AP) -- France's anti-doping agency president, Pierre Bordry, has resigned after five years in charge.
Bordry told The Associated Press he will step down as soon as his successor is appointed, probably next month.
Bordry says he is happy to leave with ``a very good record'' in the fight against doping but says the French agency should obtain ``perennial resources'' to improve its work.
The 71 year old Bordry recently promised to collaborate fully with a U.S. federal investigation into seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
