| Selig Talks Playoff Expansion |
CHICAGO (AP) -- Bud Selig wants to explore expanding the postseason this winter.
Speaking before the St. Louis Cardinals played the Chicago Cubs on Friday, baseball's commissioner also says he has been monitoring the divorce proceedings of Los Angeles Dodgers owners Jamie and Frank McCourt and that more work needs to be done in cutting down the number of broken maple bats.
Selig says that Major League baseball has fewer playoff teams than the other major sports and thinks it's time to discuss ways to increase the number of postseason. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
