Girls Golf
The Galesburg girls golf team dominated the competiton at
Monday's Western Big-6 Conference Meet. Marissa Vinson,
Katarina Mangieri, Natalie Heck, and Jessica Leiber were four of
the top 5 golfers in the field, as they posted a team total of 309 at
the Highland Springs course in Rock Island. Vinson took
medalist honors with a 73 while Mangieri tied Quincy's Simone
Becker for second place with a 76. Heck came in at 79, while Leiber carded an 81. Quincy was the runnerup, 21 strokes behind at 330, while Moline took third at 362.

Boys Golf
The Galesburg boys are also conference champions, as they posted a team total of 291 at Lake Bracken Monday, good for
a 13-stroke victory over runnerup Quincy. Joey Jurgens fired a
one under par 70 to lead the way, with Kyle Osborne 2nd at 73. Galesburg took the top four spots overall and placed five golfers in the top eight.
