| Illini AD: Zook Expected to Win More |
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Athletic Director Ron Guenther says he expects Ron Zook's Illini to win more games than the three they won last fall.
Guenther said Tuesday that he and Zook had difficult discussions after last year's 3-9 season. Guenther asked Zook to find the things he did best and let go of the rest.
The result was a house-cleaning and an almost entirely new group of assistant coaches.
In a wide-ranging talk with reporters Guenther also talked about Illinois' desire to keep Northwestern on its schedule as the expanded Big Ten breaks up into divisions.
And Guenther said the university has approached several Illinois companies about buying naming rights to Assembly Hall to help finance a $150 to $200 million renovation.
