White Sox Bring Up 3 Minor Leaguers
CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox have recalled three minor leaguers on the first day teams can expand their rosters.

The club promoted catcher Tyler Flowers and outfielder Alejandro De Aza from Triple-A Charlotte and recalled right-hander Gregory Infante from Double-A Birmingham.

Infante will join Chicago's depleted bullpen. The club is without relievers J.J. Putz and Matt Thornton, who are both on the disabled list. Infante has split the season between Birmingham and Winston-Salem (A). With Birmingham, he was 2-2 with a 3.42 ERA in 24 games.

The team has other moves planned. Third baseman Dayan Viciedo is expected to be brought up this weekend when the club visits Boston. Right-hander Carlos Torres, optioned on Tuesday to make room for Manny Ramirez, will rejoin the team after Charlotte's season ends on Sept. 6.
