| Monmouth Women's Soccer Nets Win |
Monmouth's Molly Ball netted a goal in her third straight game to give the Fighting Scots a 2-1 win over Cornell Thursday.
Kerry Kost gave Monmouth an early lead, scoring in the seventh minute on a feed from Hillary Broms. The Rams sneaked one past Sarah Wintersteen just minutes before the half to knot the score at 1-1. Ball then scored the game-winner unassisted in the 63rd minute to raise Monmouth’s record to 2-1-1. Wintersteen post four saves and Monmouth defense didn’t allow a shot on goal in the second half.
