HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
The Galesburg Silver Streaks traveled a long way to get there, but it apparently was worth it, as they routed Norridge Ridgewood 42-6. GHS was up 35-0 at halftime. A Robert Jackson 41-yard touchdown started the scoring for the Streaks, and Quarterback Andrew Steck found Chaz Benton at one point, which led to a 67-yard touchdown return. Travon Diggins also had a 53-yard TD run which contributed to the victory, putting the Streaks at 2-1 for the season. They'll start Western Big 6 Conference play next Friday against United Township.
The GHS Sophomores also routed Ridgewood 43-3.
