|Guillen Tired Of Extension Talk
|CHICAGO (AP) -- White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, starting what could be his final homestand with the team he's run for eight seasons, said that questions about his desire for a contract extension have gotten old.
But Guillen said Friday he's at the point that if he does come back, that's a good thing and if he doesn't, that's OK, too. He said the decision made on his future will reflect what's in the best interest of the organization. He's already under contract for next season, but wants that extended.
This season _ with the underachieving White Sox in third place _ has been one of the most disappointing of Guillen's colorful tenure. He says it's made him more sad than mad that a team with so much talent has failed to meet expectations and that everything went wrong.
