Mayors of Philly, St. Louis Bet Beer on Baseball
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The mayors of Philadelphia and St. Louis have placed a sudsy wager on the first round of the baseball playoffs.

The losing mayor will send locally made beer to the winning mayor.

The Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals meet Saturday for the first game in the best-of-five National League division series.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is putting up beer from several local microbreweries against the St. Louis-based Budweiser being offered by Mayor Francis Slay.

Regardless of which team wins, Nutter and Slay also announced Friday that they will each volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in their respective cities.
