HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
The Rock Island Rocks got their first Western Big 6 Conference Win of the season Friday night, thanks to the Galesburg Silver Streaks. Sophomore Brandon Richardson ran for a school-record 330 yards, five of which were for touchdowns, as the Rocks defeated the Silver Streaks 42-21. Travon Diggins and Jonathan Mixon scored touchdowns for the Silver Streaks on Homecoming night.

The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team competed in the PrairieView Classic played at the par-72, 7135 yard PrairieView Golf Club on Friday. The Chargers red team shot a team total of 316, while the blue team carded a team total of 317.
