| SD State Watching Out for Illini's Scheelhaase |
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- South Dakota State coach John Stiegelmeier worries about what Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase could do to his Jackrabbits.
Scheelhaase the passer led the Illini (1-0) to a win last week against Arkansas State. But the usually humble sophomore warns opponents to not forget that he can run.
The Jackrabbits (1-0) come to Champaign on Saturday for the second of Illinois' five-straight home games.
Stiegelmeier says he'll stick with his four-man line and doesn't plan to blitz much or do anything extraordinary against the Illini.
Illinois offensive lineman Jeff Allen says he and his line mates will have to be better this week than last. The Illini gave up three sacks and a safety. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
