The Division 3 College football season kicks off Saturday, and in our area, both Knox and Monmoouth have home games:
Knox, under second year head coach Chad Eisele, will play host to Washington University of St. Louis. Eisele says Washington will be a tough opponent again this year. Eisele says after last season's rash of injuries with a young team that posted just one win, he's ready for a fresh start.
Meanwhile, Monmouth College will host 15th-ranked Wartburg, Iowa. The game marks the return of preseason all-america quarterback Alex Tanney to the Fighting Scots offense. Tanney was redshirted following a season-ending knee injury early last fall. |
