| Illinois Looking for "Inner Hawkeye" Against Penn State |
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- If there's one goal for Illinois' defense this week, it's to try to be a little like Iowa. The Hawkeyes thrashed Penn State quarterback Darryl Clark last Saturday. They sacked him twice and intercepted him three times in Iowa's 21-10 upset. The Illini host 15th-ranked Penn State on Saturday. Illinois is coming off a 30-0 dismantling at Ohio State and trying to turn around a 1-2 season. A key will be stopping Clark and tailback Evan Royster. Illini defensive lineman Doug Pilcher says the Hawkeyes definitely did something right. He says Illinois will have to stop Penn State's running attack.
