POSTED 3:15pm 10/12/9 The Galesburg High School girls golf team is headed south to the state meet after a strong finish in Monday's Class 2A Rockford Sectional.
The Silver Streaks combined to shoot a 349 at Ingersoll Golf Course, 19 strokes behind sectional champion St. Charles East.
Jessica Lieber and Katarina Mangieri both shot 84s to lead Galesburg, which heads to state in head coach Marcy Herrin's first year at the helm.
The 2A state meet is Friday and Saturday at Hickory Ridge Country Club in Carbondale. |
