Galesburg scored on its first possession of the game when Robert Jackson ran in a 2-yard touchdown and led 7-0 after the first quarter. But Quincy took advantage of four Galesburg turnovers and scored 24 points in the second quarter to lead 24-7 at the half.
The Silver Streaks held the Blue Devils to a 27-yard field goal in the second half, but offensively could only manage a fourth-quarter touchdown when Caleb Ollman scored on a 2-yard run. Ollman led GHS with 103 yards rushing.
Quincy secures a playoff spot with the win for only the fourth time in school history. Galesburg has now lost three straight games ahead of Friday night's match-up at Van Dyke Field against Moline.
