| Illini Safety Injured |
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Illinois safety Donsay Hardeman was placed on a backboard and carted off the field midway through the second quarter Saturday night at Indiana.
He was injured while trying to make a tackle on Indiana's Darius Willis with 8:26 left in the first half. It was unclear how Hardeman had been injured.
After the play, Illinois trainers quickly called for a golf cart and carefully strapped him to a backboard. Towels were placed over Hardeman's shoulders and hands, and his face mask was removed.
There was no immediate update on Hardeman's condition. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
