High School Volleyball

United (33-0) beat Augusta Southeastern in two games: 25-14, 25-19

Lewistown (22-8) downed Knoxville in two games: 25-13, 25-21

Wethersfield (19-13) defeated Princeville (15-7) in three games: 27-25, 24-26, 28-26. Tessa Swedman had 23 kills to lead the Flying Geese. Sara Peach added 28 digs. Shelby Steger and Cassidy Horsley had 16 assists apiece for Wethersfield.

Stark County (12-16) upended Midland in two games: 29-27, 25-14

College Volleyball

Knox College celebrated Senior Night with a 3 games to 1 win against Eureka. Sophomore Kelly Ricketts of Galesburg led the Fire with 20 kills and 23 digs. Senior Karen Frost added 36 assists and 12 digs.


Carl Sandburg College lost in five games against Sauk Valley. Brooke Thompson led the Chargers with 14 kills, Chelsea Simkins added 10 kills and three blocks, Alivia Colwell had nine kills and 11 digs and Trisha Beswick contributed 41 assists.

High School Boys Soccer

Limestone (5-14) shut out Peoria Richwoods (5-11-1) 1-0 at Class 2A Richwoods Regional. Limestone will play top seeded Galesburg Friday at 4:00 in the regional championship match for a spot in next week's Morton Sectional.


Monmouth-Roseville takes on Earlville Thursday in the semifinals of the Class 1A Princeton Sectional. The winner advances to Tuesday night's championship match.

College Men's Soccer

Augustana College spoiled Knox College's home finale, defeating the Prairie Fire 4-2
