|High School Boys Soccer - Postseason
@ Class 1A Princeton Sectional:
Monmouth-Roseville lost to Earlville (21-3-1) 3-0. The Titans end their most successful season in the history of the program with a 14-5-2 record.
@ Class 2A Richwoods Regional:
Top seeded Galesburg plays Limestone for the regional championship Friday afternoon at 4:00.
Local College Soccer - Postseason
Carl Sandburg College's women's team won its regional play-in game 1-0 against PSC.
Tia Wunder scored at the 11th minute, assisted by Molly Kramer, for the only goal of the match. The Chargers outshot PSC 22-4 on goal.
CSC plays again Saturday morning at 10:00 at Wabonsee.
High School Volleyball
Galva defeated Rowva in three games: 25-22, 8-25, 25-22.
United won its 34th straight match without a loss against West Central in two games: 25-12, 25-12.
Princeville (17-8) stopped Williamsfield (8-17) in three games: 15-25, 25-8, 25-19.
Orion (28-6, 10-0), the Olympic Conference champion, beat Monmouth-Roseville (17-10, 7-3). The Chargers swept the Titans by also winning the sophomore and freshman matches.
Bushnell-Prairie City-Avon defeated Brimfield-Elmwood in two games (25-17, 25-16). The Spartans (16-14) are the Prairieland Conference champions after going 8-0 in league play. Taylor Elder and Bridjet Blount led B-PC-A with eight kills apiece, Kendra Pierce had nine digs and Elder added 14 assists.
South Fulton (13-15) lost to Rushville-Industry in three games: 23-25, 27-25, 29-27.
Galesburg High School's freshman "A" team lost to Burlington in three games. The Streaks "B" team fell to Burlington in two games.
