NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
The Chicago Bulls have lost to the Celtics in Boston in the teams' first matchup since last spring's seven-game playoff series. Paul Pierce has 22 points as Boston rolled to victory last night, 118-90. John Salmons led the Bulls with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jannero Pargo had 13 points, and Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah 10 apiece.
NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
The Chicago Blackhawks have earned a 3-2 victory at home against the Montreal Canadiens. Patrick Sharp scored with just over four minutes left to give the Blackhawks the win last night. Kris Vertseeg and Cam Barker each had a goal and an assist.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
The New York Yankees travel to Philadelphia Saturday night to take on the Phillies in Game 3 of the World Series. Andy Pettitte will get the ball to pitch for the Yankees while Philadelphia counters with Cole Hamels. The series is tied at 1.
