Freshman kicker Matt Batton's school-record 51-yard field goal in the fourth quarter put an exclamation point on the win. Monmouth's defense yielded just 31 yards rushing and 159 yards total as Adam Hoste made a team-high nine tackles and Anthony Goranson recorded a pair of sacks.
