Midwest Conference Player of the Week
The improved play of the Knox Prairie Fire Football team has resulted in another individual honor this week. The Midwest Conference announced that Knox senior receiver Clark Cuthbert is the offensive player of the week, for his efforts in Saturday's game against Illinois College. Cuthbert caught eight passes for 242 yards and a touchdown in the Fire's narrow loss to the Blueboys in Jacksonville. Cuthbert's big day moved him into second place in the Knox record books for receiving yardage in one game, behind only Chris Vogel's 280 yards in 1987 against Ripton. Knox returns to the Knosher Bowl this weekend for its homecoming game against Carroll College. |
