| Packers Likely Lose Two for Year |
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The injuries keep piling up the Green Bay Packers.
Coach Mike McCarthy says veteran linebacker Brady Poppinga and rookie defensive lineman Mike Neal both are expected to have season-ending surgery. Poppinga has a knee injury and will get a second opinion, but is not expected to return this season. Neal has a shoulder injury.
The Packers already have seven players on injured reserve, including four starters: tight end Jermichael Finley, linebacker Nick Barnett, running back Ryan Grant and safety Morgan Burnett. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
