CSC Golf Takes Third in JUCO Championship
Carl Sandburg College's men's golf team had their last event before facing off in the Region IV tournament, participating in the Illinois JUCO Championship on Sunday and Monday. The venue was beautiful Panther Creek Country Club, located in Springfield, IL, home course of the LPGA State Farm Classic.

The Chargers found themselves in fourth place after the first day by shooting a 318 on a very windy day. On day two, CSC had a point to prove to the rest of the field and improved 17 shots in route to posting a 301, which moved them up the leader board to claim third place with a two day total of 619. Rend Lake took the title with a score of 601.

"I was very disappointed with our finish on day one," Chargers head coach K.C. Harding said. "We had a good day going until we played our last five holes. We left ourselves 19 shots back of the lead and with this type of competition it's nearly impossible to make it up in one round. On the plus side, my guys stepped up big on day two instead of giving up."
