Illinois Spoils Penn State Homecoming Game
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- Mikel Leshoure ran for 119 yards, Nate Bussey had a 16-yard interception return for a score Saturday and Illinois pounded injury depleted Penn State in a 33-13 win to spoil homecoming in Happy Valley.

Nathan Scheelhaase passed for a touchdown and Jason Ford connected with Evan Wilson on a halfback pass for a 4-yard TD as Illinois (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) won for the first time in seven tries at Penn State (3-3, 0-2).

The Illini's rejuvenated defense grounded the Nittany Lions, which again struggled in the red zone. Penn State recovered two fumbles inside the 30 on special teams, but managed just two field goals off the turnovers.

Illinois held Penn State to season-lows of 235 yards and seven first downs.
