GHS Events
Girls swimming at United Township invitational finished 4th of 11 teams with 194 points. First place went to Normal Community High (252), second was Pleasant Valley High (239), and one point ahead of Galesburg, Dunlap came in third.
Boys soccer at Jacksonville Tournament placed 5th.
Girls tennis at Western Big 6 Tourney at Rock Island did not place in any top four finishes.
Freshman football was romped by Quincy 28-14
Freshman volleyball at Burlington Tourney was 1-2 for the team. The Streaks won over Burlington but fell to Ottumwa and Bettendorf.
College Football
The Monmouth Fighting Scotts pulled out a victory over Ripton 51-45 in triple overtime.
The Knox College Prairie Fire finally added a W to their record with a win against Grinnell 31-21. |
