| Indiana, Northwestern Have Plenty of Similarities |
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- From quarterback questions to Big Ten losing streaks, Indiana and Northwestern look like identical twins.
Northwestern (2-5) hasn't won since Sept. 10. Indiana (1-7) hasn't won since Sept. 17. They are only conference teams at 0-4 in league play, too.
Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald and Indiana's Kevin Wilson were assistants with the Wildcats in 2001. They are both in desperate need of a win.
While the Hoosiers seem poised to start quarterback Tre Roberson for the second straight week, Fitzgerald is just hoping quarterback Dan Persa can fight through his turf toe injury. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
