| White Sox Pick Up Option On RHP Frasor |
CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox have exercised their option for $3.75 million on the contract of right-handed reliever Jason Frasor. Frasor combined to go 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA in 64 relief appearances with Toronto and the White Sox in 2011. He was acquired from the Blue Jays with pitcher Zach Stewart for pitcher Edwin Jackson and infielder Mark Teahen on July 27. In 20 games with the White Sox, Frasor was 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA. He's 25-30 with a 3.74 ERA in eight major league seasons. The 34-year-old Frasor is a native of Chicago. Chicago announced the move Monday. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press.
