WIU Beats SIU on Late Touchdown
MACOMB, Ill. (AP) -- Terriun Crump caught a 77-yard touchdown pass from Josh Hudson with 26 seconds remaining as Western Illinois ended a nine-game losing streak to Southern Illinois with a 27-21 victory Saturday.

The Leathernecks (2-3, 1-1 Missouri Valley) got the ball at their own 15-yard line with 1:05 remaining after forcing Southern Illinois (2-2, 1-1) to punt. Caulton Ray rushed for 8 yards on first down before Crump scored the game-winner -- his second TD of the game and the fourth scoring pass for Hudson. The extra point attempt was blocked.

Hudson was 20 for 30 for 307 yards, including a 24-yard scoring toss to Crump in the third quarter. He had TDs of 36 yards to Justin Morgan and 11 to Myles Daughtry as Western Illinois took a 14-0 first-quarter lead. Crump finished with five catches for 163 yards.

Jewel Hampton had 146 yards rushing and two TDs for Southern Illinois.
