| Hoosiers, Illini Look to End Big Ten Streaks |
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP)--Someone's Big Ten losing streak will come to an end Saturday when Indiana plays at Illinois. The Hoosiers haven't won a conference game since late in 2010 and have dropped 11 straight. The Illini have lost nine in a row in the conference dating to last fall. The Hoosiers (2-5, 0-3 Big Ten) have lost their last three games by less than three points each, and they are scoring more than 30 points a game. Illinois (2-5, 0-3) has lost four straight games by an average score of 41-11. Indiana coach Kevin Wilson says his team is usually one good play away from a win. Illini linebacker Ashante Williams says the Hoosiers also have the fastest-paced offense Illinois has seen. They ran 78 plays against Navy. |
