HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
The best season in a decade has come to an end for the Galesburg Silver Streaks. The Streaks went down to Normal U-High in the first round of the playoffs Friday night by a score of 27-6. The Streaks end the season at 5-5.
United's season ended as well, as the Stark County Rebels move on again. The Rebels beat the Red Storm 28-14. Stark County moves to 8-2 on the season, while United finishes with a record of 6-4.

Class 1A:
Abingdon at Lena-Winslow (2pm)
West Central at Stockton (2pm)
Class 3A:
Peru St. Bede at Monmouth-Roseville (6pm)
In college football Saturday, Knox is idle, while Monmouth hosts Illinois College. Also, the Illinois Fighting Illini will play their homecoming game against Indiana. Broadcast time is 10:30 Saturday morning here on WGIL.
