| MC's Widdop and Prairie Fire's Ricketts Named All-Midwest Conference First-Team in Volleyball |
POSTED 8:45 a-m 11/11/09 Knox College and Monmouth College each have a player on the All-Midwest Conference volleyball team.
Fighting Scots freshman Chelsey Widdop and Priarie Fire sophomore Kelly Ricketts were both named first-team selections.
Widdop led Monmouth in kills and kills per game. She was second on the team in digs and third in blocks.
Ricketts, a sophomore from Galesburg, led Knox in kills per game, total attempts and hitting percentage. In just one season she is now the school record-holder for kills in a season and kills per game.
Ricketts also led the Midwest Conference in kills and finished 13th in the nation in kills per game.
