| Illinois to Face Touch Northwestern "D" |
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois and Northwestern meet Saturday in Champaign with the Wildcats looking for a bowl invite and the Illini wanting to extend a modest winning streak. Juice Williams is considered questionable for Illinois after leaving the Minnesota game with an ankle injury. That means redshirt freshman quarterback Jacob Charest could start. Charest threw for 185 yards and a touchdown at Minnesota. The Illini will face a Northwestern defense that forced four turnovers against Iowa and gave up just 265 yards, 65 on the ground, in the 17-10 win.
The game will be broadcast on WGIL AM 1400 Saturday at 11 a-m. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
