West Prairie Trail Northwest Division All-Conference Team Announced
POSTED 1:14 p-m 11/16/09 Ten Alwood-Rowva football players are among this year's all-conference performers in the West Prairie Trail Northwest Division.

The Bulldogs' Matt Carlson, a senior running back, was a unanimous first-team choice. Teammate Tim Worrell, a senior offensive guard, also earned first-team status.

The conference coaches named three United players to the first-team: senior running back Adam Olin - a unanimous choice - senior kicker Eric Watson and senior Sheldon Welch, an at-large selection.

A&R's Kenny Fogerty earned unanimous first-team all-conference as a linebacker. Cody Lanning also was named unanimous first-team for the Bulldogs as a defensive back while Aaron Wallerstedt earned first-team recognition as a defensive end.

The Red Storm's Olin also achieved first-team status as a defensive tackle. Watson was named a second-team selection as a linebacker and senior Dustin Logsdon made the second-team as a defensive back.

Second-team defensive selections for Alwood-Rowva are junior Grant Gullstrand and Worrell, both at the defensive tackle position.

The Bulldogs' second-team all-conference performers are Wallerstedt as a tackle, junior quarterback Tyler Waugh and Lanning as an end. United's Matt Grubb, a senior, was named second-team all-conference at guard and Logsdon earned the same accolades as an end.

The other unanimous first-team all-conference performers on offense are seniors Jordan Willitts (T), Brett Anderson (QB) and Abel Castor (G) of Mercer County and Golden Eagles' junior Tanner Benson (E), along with Stark County junior Calvin Lewis (E).

The other defensive unanimous first-team all-conference players are Stark County senior Andy Kieser (LB) and teammate Ethan Ely (DT), a junior.
