| Cutler Targets Turnaround |
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- Jay Cutler has been battered behind a struggling offensive line and is throwing about as many passes to defenders as receivers. This, clearly, isn't what the Bears had in mind. Their franchise quarterback is playing more like the stereotypical Chicago quarterback, and the team's postseason hopes are fading fast heading into Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Cutler says the Bears (4-5) are "absolutely" capable of turning things around after dropping four of the last five. It would help if their quarterback hit his intended targets. Cutler now has a league-worst 17 interceptions and 12 in the past five games after throwing five against the 49ers. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
